More Info -- 2008 Sun City County Club Amateur Tour
The Sun City Country Club Amateur Summer Tour is open to all
amateur golfers. All play is at 36-holes stroke play at Sun City Country Club.
Players with a verifiable GHIN index (AGA or other state
card) participate in both Gross and Net divisions. Maximum tournament handicap
is 18.
Players without verifiable handicap index compete in Gross
division only in first tournament and are handicapped, with plus-or-minus 3
stroke limit, for the next event based on first-event scores. For subsequent
events, scoring average for those players will be used to adjust handicap.
Until 8 scores are returned, plus-or-minus 3 stroke limit will apply.
Players accumulate Gross and Net points toward end-of-season
awards. Points are awarded based on finishing scores in each event and for 7
closest-to-pin contests in each event. All players completing an event earn at
least 1 point.
Each entry fee includes $20 per player to gift certificate
prize fund. Prizes are awarded in both Gross and Net divisions.
Sun City Amateur Summer Tour membership dues are $25.
Practice round, at $25, may be scheduled Monday-Friday of tournament week for
registered tournament participants.
